A Western Mass Training Camp For Intermediate High School Runners

Get Yourself Ready for the Fall Cross Country Season

Join our Summer Training Camp designed specifically for intermediate high school cross country runners looking to improve their endurance, speed, strength, and race performance by training with others. 

Whether you’re aiming to shave time off your PR or build endurance for the upcoming season, this camp will help you reach your goals with personalized training and guidance.

DATES + DETAILS

  • 1:1 Goal Setting Meeting: June to July
  • Camp Duration: July 15 2026 – August 15 2026 (5 weeks, 10 sessions)
  • Group Workouts: Every Tuesday and Friday, 8am- 11am
  • Location: Smith College Track 
  • Cost:  $300  (includes personalized coaching, 1:1 support, training plans, all group sessions, and snacks) 

Personalized Goal Setting and Training Plans

Each athlete will have a one-on-one meeting with Coach Staples to discuss their current fitness level, race goals, and areas for improvement. Based on this conversation, we’ll develop a customized training plan tailored to each runner’s needs.

Weekly Group Workouts

Running in a pack is more fun & motivates you.  We’ll have two group workouts per week, held every Tuesday and Friday, to help you build speed, endurance, and race strategies in a supportive, team environment.

Tuesday: Focus on speedwork, intervals, and hill training.

Friday: Long runs, tempo, and threshold work

Comprehensive Training Sessions

We’ll cover all aspects of cross country training and racing, including:

  • Proper warm-up & cool-down techniques
  • Strength training & injury prevention
  • Nutrition for runners
  • Mental strategies for training & racing
  • Race day preparation & strategies
